NOTD: Leopard spot skittles

I'm home with a sick kid today so I thought I'd use the time while she's napping to do my nails. It's quite warm and almost feels like Spring is coming so I wanted to do something pastel that would remind me of warmer weather. I saw this tutorial from Spektor's Nails on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. I had colours that were similar to what she used but I did pink on my thumb instead of white. I think it turned out quite well.

 What I used:
  • Base coat: Revlon Multi-Care Base and Top Coat
  • Essie Butler Please
  • Revlon Eclectic
  • China Glaze Pelican Gray
  • Julep Carrie
  • Revlon Spirit
  • Revlon Knockout
  • Seche Vite top coat - 2 coats
  • dotting tools
Are you starting to lean towards more spring/summer colours? What are your favourites?

NOTW : vintage roses

I ordered some dotting tools from Amazon a couple weeks ago and they finally came in last Friday. I couldn't wait to try them out and decided to beat the winter blahs with a manicure that made me think of spring. One of the main places I find inspiration is from Pinterest so I went searching for a photo that struck my fancy. The look that I decided on used a Tiffany blue colour for the base and coral accent nails. Using 4 different size dots, I easily created this take on vintage roses. They kind of remind me of Laura Ashley wallpaper and M. loves them - obsessed!!

NOTD: Essie

I'm loving this combo - it's perfect for the holiday season!

For this manicure I used Essie's Mademoiselle and Set In Stones. Mademoiselle is almost my exact nail colour so I used three coats to get a more opaque effect. Then, on top, I used one coat of Set In Stones.

So pretty.
