Calendar : Claudia Pearson

This Buy Local calendar by Claudia Pearson features a different fruit or vegetable illustration every month and gives you a handy guide as to what is in season during that particular month. (Obviously our growing season is a little different than Brooklyn's.) Perfect in the kitchen!

Calendar : Camilla Engman

Today's calendar pick comes from one of my favourite artists, Camilla Engman. I love her style, I love her colours, I love pretty much everything about her illustrations.

Calendar month

I've decided to take part in National Blog Posting Month again this year (NaBloPoMo for those in the know) and, while I don't generally have something to say everyday, I figured that a theme would be easy enough to stick to. So this November (minus yesterday - but at least I posted something!) will be dedicated to 2011 calendars. I LOVE calendars and would probably have one in every room of the house if A. let me so this will be my fix for the year. Hopefully you will find something to fill that empty space in your house.

First up is Jonathan Adler's 2011 wall calendar. Each month is a shot of happy colour with one of his signature illustrations.

Gifted magazine

Looking for inspiration for a holiday project or just the right gift? ('It's never too early to start' is my motto!) Check out Gifted Magazine published by Creature Comforts Blog. It's a lovely little slice of Christmas heaven.

I particularly like the project ideas, like the one for fabric twist ties seen below, and their gift guides are spot on. You should be able to find something for everyone on your list!
